Pie de la Cuesta is a long and narrow strip of beach between the ocean and the Coyuca Lagoon
extending for about 11 miles to the Barra de Coyuca. Also known as Sunset beach because of its
flaming sunsets, it is lined up with charming rustic hotels and restaurants with swaying hammocks
under the enramadas, where you can totally unwind and relax in the cool shade and drink cocos
locos or your favorite tropical cold drinks while watching the splendid spectacle of the roaring surf
of the Pacific ocean.  Due to the rip tides and very rough trip waves it is not recommended to swim
there. This beach is ideal for long, romantic walks, volley ball games and horse rides along the shore.

Pie de la Cuesta es un trecho de playa, largo y angosto, 10 kilómetros al Norte de Acapulco entre
                el Océano Pacífico y la  LAGUNA DE COYUCA ,  que se extiende por unos 17 kilómetros hasta la
               Barra de Coyuca.   Muy famosa por sus puestas de sol, está bordeada de encantadores y rústicos
                 hoteles y restaurantes con hamacas debajo de las enramadas, donde puede olvidarse de todo
                 el estrés y relajarse en la sombra, comiendo deliciosos mariscos y pescado fresco "a la talla"
                  y bebiendo sus bebidas tropicales favoritas.  Debido al muy fuerte oleaje no es aconsejable
                   bañarse en la zona pero es una playa ideal para largas caminatas románticas, torneos de
                    volley ball, paseos en cuatrimotos y cabalgatas a caballo o burros por la orilla del mar.
